This kit is intended for short boards and sport kayaks, for long boards (61/2' or more) and kayaks (like size) a third load
bar and four doors are suggested for safe transportation. The suggested addition is due to wind resistance associated
with a long protruding planer surface above the vehicle. The installation is entirely up to your discretion and the legal
driver of the vehicle (state laws rule driver as the responsible party for any transportation cargo devices to be secure.
For obvious reasons you would not want to put a 12' board on top of a truck that has only two doors and a bar span of
20" (that would create a tremendous amount of wind drag).
